One of the most often asked question the WVC Online Team has received is: how did you get the line at the bottom of the Canvas page? These lines are horizontal rules that are designated by HTML coding that starts with <hr (indicating start of a horizontal rule spanning the width of the Canvas page) and ending with />.

So here are some examples of different horizontal rules along with the HTML coding:

Simple thin gray horizontal rule

HTML code: <hr />

Thick black rule

HTML code: <hr style="border-top: 2px solid #000;" />

Note that the 2px is the width of the line, and #000 refers to the color black. See the next example of a thicker rule in a different color.

Thick blue rule

HTML code: <hr style="border-top: 5px solid #3308ff;"

Double line rule

HTML code: <hr style="border: 0; border-top: 5px double #532b90;" />

Again you can change the thickness of the line by changing 5px and the color by changing #532b90.

Dotted line rule

HTML code: <hr style="border-top: 10px dotted #D30000;" />

Change the size of the dots by changing 10px and change the color by changing #D30000.

Dashed line rule

HTML code: <hr style="border-top: 8px dashed #01DF01;" />

Change the thickness of the dashed line by changing 8px and change the color by changing #01DF01.
