Instructions
For this assignment, we'd like you to create the instructions for an annotation assignment you plan on using in your own course. Depending on how you plan on using Hypothesis social annotation with your students, these could be generic annotation instructions that will be used for every annotation assignment in the course, or specific instructions that will only apply to one reading in the course.
You should also develop a grading plan for your assignment. Again, your grading plan may look different depending on the purpose of annotation in your course. It could be as simple as marking the students pass/fail, or may include a comprehensive analytic rubric.
It may be helpful to revisit the statement of annotation purpose you created in Module 3 and even include it in your annotation assignment instructions. Having this statement handy will allow you to ensure that your assignment instructions are in alignment with your assignment purpose.
Your assignment should include:
- The actual activity instructions/prompt that you'll provide to students
- Your grading plan (with rubric if applicable)
- Resource module from this course: How should I design my rubric?
- The reading you will be assigning students as either a PDF with a text layer or a link/url
- Resource page from this course: How to create a PDF with a text layer
Please take the quiz to complete this self-paced assignment.
